Your group, your guide, your departure time.

154,900 kr for a private group of 1–4 and 184,900 kr for 5–8, VAT included — per group, not per person. For a family of four that's about 38,725 kr each; for eight, about 23,112 kr each, which is close to a small-group minibus seat but with your own guide, your own timing and nobody else on board. Entrances, parking and Reykjavík hotel pickup are included; the only extras are optional add-on stops with admission fees, Keflavík pickup (25,000 kr) and extra hours (15,000 kr each).

About six hours door to door — roughly 240 km of driving with an hour or so at each of the three stops. Because it's private, that's a starting point rather than a schedule: stay longer at Gullfoss, add Kerið, or ask for a shorter five-hour version if you have a flight or a ship to catch.

Whenever suits you — that's the point of a private tour. Early departures beat the coach crowds to every stop; in summer, evening departures get the midnight-sun light and even emptier viewpoints. Tell us your plans and we'll recommend a time for your dates.

Yes — many guides prefer it. Gullfoss half-frozen, steam pouring off the Geysir field in the cold, snow on the Þingvellir lava, and far fewer people. Daylight is short in December and January, so we plan the route around it, and the vehicle is winter-equipped. If roads close for weather, you get another day or a full refund. Iceland decides the weather. Grey days at Þingvellir and Gullfoss have their own drama, and the route works in rain, snow and sun — but if conditions are truly unsafe we'll offer you another day or a full refund. We'd rather move you than take your money for a tour we're not proud of.

Yes. We meet you at the gangway at Skarfabakki (Sundahöfn) or Miðbakki (the old harbour), run a 5–6 hour version of the route timed to your all-aboard, and guarantee you're back at the ship at least 90 minutes before it. See the shore-excursion page.

Yes — Keflavík pickup or drop-off is 25,000 kr per group on top of the tour price, and a good way to spend an arrival or departure day: we can take luggage, and end at your Reykjavík hotel or the airport. Arrival-day, departure-day and layover timings.

Yes. Kerið is a 15-minute stop on the way back and costs a small admission per person. The Secret Lagoon at Flúðir adds about two hours (extra hours 15,000 kr each, plus admission). Sky Lagoon is in Reykjavík, so we can drop you there at the end of the day instead of your hotel. Tell us when you book and we'll quote the whole day.

Lunch isn't included, so you eat what you like: the Friðheimar tomato farm near Reykholt (book ahead in summer — we'll do it for you), the café at Geysir, or a picnic at Gullfoss. Your guide will suggest what fits your timing.

Yes — constantly, if you like. Your guide knows the viewpoints, the angles and the light at every stop, and will happily shoot your group on your phone or camera throughout the day. Nobody goes home with only landscape shots and no people in them.

Yes. The walking is easy — level paths and boardwalks, never more than half an hour at a stretch. Children count toward the group of eight, and child seats are available if you tell us the ages when you book.

Mostly, yes. Þingvellir's main viewpoint and the Geysir field are level and paved; Gullfoss has a paved upper viewpoint and steps to the lower one, which we can skip. Tell us what you need and we'll plan the stops and the vehicle around it.

Layers, a windproof jacket and shoes you can walk on wet rock in — in every month. Gullfoss soaks you with spray in summer and the paths ice over in winter. You're never far from a warm vehicle, so you don't need to dress for an expedition.

English (Icelandic, and other languages on request). Every guide is a licensed local who drives, guides and takes the photos — one person for the whole day, so you're not handed between a driver and a guide.

Any hotel, guesthouse or address in Reykjavík. Pickup in Hafnarfjörður, Garðabær and Kópavogur is included; Keflavík is 25,000 kr; Selfoss or Hveragerði on request.

A coach carries 40–60 people on a fixed timetable; a small-group minibus 8–16 on a slightly looser one; a private tour carries only your group, at your time, at your pace. Per person the private tour costs about the same as a minibus seat once you're four or more. We've laid the three out side by side.
